Good Week of Hope

The 51st Bob Hope Classic is in the books and all in all it was a great golf tournament.  A rain-extended Monday finish did not deter the fans from getting in the final round action at the Palmer Private course at PGA West.  It came down to the last hole where several players had decisions to make, going for it or laying up.  In the end Bill Haas took home the trophy after he knocked it on the par 5 18th in two and made birdie to win by a shot.  The first win by the son of Jay Haas, who had won the tournament 22 years earlier.

Crater Lake Vodka and Lindsey’s Lounge, along with many other local vendors, surrounded the Hope Square.  They had bands playing music, big screen televisions showing the NFL Playoffs and plenty of Bob Hope Classic Celebrities and PGA Tour Professionals walking the grounds.  Thank you to all of the volunteers, players, host clubs and Pro’s, staffs and charity organizations that make the Bob Hope Classic possible and their support for  the 100′s of local charities throughout the Coachella Valley.
